Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
We know that many students are looking for a cheap yet high-quality Bible study course. We try to keep our fees as low as possible and currently, we offer one of the most cost-effective Bible study programs available. The following fees are in British Pounds (GBP) -- you can convert currency using Yahoo! currency converter. There are eight modules and the cost of each module is as follows (you do not need to purchase all eight modules at once):
- CD-ROM Version: GBP 55 (which includes shipping to anywhere in the world, and student registration).

What's Included in the Price?
Recorded lectures and study notes per module; tutorial support; student registration (includes marking of assignments and tutorial feedback) and access to the student-only section of the KEDS website, which contains news and resources for the exclusive use of students.
When can I start?
You can start at any time: we do not have a semester or term-based system because we offer distance education. As soon as you register for the course, we will process your application and provide you login information to download the teaching materials. Alternatively, for students preferring a more traditional correspondence course, we can post the materials, although most students prefer to study online.
How long will it take?
On average, the full Certificate takes approximately one or two years of part-time study, depending on the individual. However, students may complete over a much longer period, if they wish. The course is entirely flexible, and you may take a break from or accelarate your studies as you see fit.
What subjects are included in the course contents?
The Knowing Your Bible course is made up of eight separate modules. The titles of the modules are as follows: Introduction to the Bible; The Bible as History; The World of the New Testament; Biblical Exegesis; Biblical Hermeneutics; Christian Doctrine; Understanding Biblical Prophecy; Exegesis and Polemics.

Do I have to study all of the modules?
It is possible to study individual modules separately but to graduate with a full certificate, students need to complete all eight modules. You can purchase the modules individually.
Am I required to visit the college at any time?
No. We have students from all over the world, often engaged in missionary work or full-time careers, who are unable to travel for study purposes. This is a full distance learning course in which there is no requirement for residential study.
Will I meet other students?
The nature of distance learning means that it can be very difficult to meet other students. We do offer regular, optional seminars in England where students can meet faculty and other students. Moreover, we have a very active online community that provides an interactive forum where students can discuss and comment upon their studies. This is part of our innovative eCampus that provides a complete range of teaching and community support.
Who is best suited for the Knowing Your Bible course?
This course is aimed at those seeking a comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the Bible. You may be seeking a more in-depth knowledge of the Scriptures in order to enhance your personal Bible study; or you want to be able to discuss with confidence what the Bible says with fellow Christians; or maybe you wish to be better equipped for existing part-time or lay ministry; or perhaps you want to be able to identify and combat false teachings which, sadly, have found their way into the Church. Whatever your reason for wanting to study the Bible, these studies will help you. To get a feel for KEDS, visit our website.
How Will I Be Assessed?
You will be assessed on a continuous basis. This means you submit work for each module then progress to the next. Work consists of short written assignments. Don't let a lack of schooling deter you - helpful tutorial support is available for all students, regardless of academic background. There are no examinations. Assignments are submitted by e-mail. The option is also available to purchase the materials only, without registering as a full student.
Do I need to purchase anything else, such as books and materials?
You do not need to purchase anything else, but as with all studying, it is always helpful to obtain additional books. Your individual course tutor can help you if you're interested in purchasing materials. An enormous range of resources are already available through the KEDS online eCampus and students of Knowing Your Bible are provided free access to this website.
